Algeria Tourist Travel Document Guide

By news desk on July 18,2007

Despite the conflict and fighting, it is still possible to get a tourist visa. Visas to enter Algeria are required by all nationals (except those of Morocco, Tunisia, Denmark, Finland, Italy, Norway and Sweden). Those wishing to travel should apply to the Algerian embassy or consulate in their home country by filling the form and supplying the standard documents—three passport photos and a hotel booking/proof of invitation. Visas usually take 2-3 days to be issued. Nationals of Israel, Malawi and Taiwan are not admitted, and if you have a stamp in your passport from any of these countries you will probably be refused entry or your visa application will be rejected.
