There are a variety of budget eating places in Ghana. They range from elegant street stalls to the endless menu chop bars and take-away snack bars. All of these eating-places are out doors and inexpensive. The most you can spend at one of these places would be about US$5 and the service is very good and fast.
Ghana has a lively nightlife with lots of pubs, clubs, theatres and discos. Most of these places have a US$3 entrance fee but they make sure you get your money’s worth and go home feeling joyous and good.
Shopping
Shopping in Ghana is very dicey because almost everything you find in a store, you will also find with a street vendor at a cheaper price. It’s always better to buy things from the shop; because you can never tell whether what the vendors are selling are real or fake. You can buy gold and hued textile products all over Ghana. If its genuine crafts you want to buy, go to Bolgatanga, which is particularly known for its basket ware and leather goods.
Other craft villages include Ahwlaa known for its carving, Ntonso renowned for its adinkra cloth and Kurofuforum for its brass casting. The easiest way to visit the villages is to hire a taxi for the day.
