Lesotho doesn’t have internal flights. Charter planes are available from Maseru but are expensive.

By Road

The bus service is reasonably good but the network is very slow even though they connect with all the major cities. Car hire services are available at all major cities. It is best to rent a 4WD because only the roads connecting the main cities are paved, although the country has an extensive road network. The offbeat places are where the real beauty lies. While bus connections exist in some cases, renting a vehicle really allows you the freedom of doing it your way. Insist that the car hire company gives you spare tyres and accessories you may not get on the way and details of fuel stations on your route. Get yourself a good road map to begin with. Traffic drives on the left and carrying an International Driving License is a good idea though not mandatory. A lot of tourists take the driving wheel to see this spectacular country.
