Liberia’s hotels have restaurants attached that serve almost every kind of cuisine spanning American, European, Chinese, Asian, Lebanese and West African food. Should you desire the "coffee shop" genre of food, you will also get it here. Don’t miss out on sampling the West African dishes in the famous "cookhouses", which serve traditional Liberian food. Liberia produces its own coffee and alcoholic drinks. The beer is excellent; foreign liquor and wines are also available.
Monrovia has a hectic nightlife with its many crowded nightclubs, discotheques and bars that are open till dawn. Most of the activity is on Gurley Street. Check out if the midnight to dawn curfew is in force though. Providence Island is the place to head for traditional African music and dance.
