A small risk of malaria, cholera and hepatitis (A&E) is present. Bilharzia is also present, so avoid swimming in fresh water. Diarrhea and dysentery are common. Drinking water is chlorinated in the bigger cities and generally safe. In smaller towns, boil milk and water before consuming. Health insurance is recommended to tackle any eventualities.
