Mali Travel Document Guide

By news desk on August 23,2007

Passports and visas are required by visitors from all countries all except citizens of the ECOWAS (Economic Citizens of West African States), such as Algeria, Burkina Faso, Benin, Cameroon, Chad, Cote d’Ivoire, Gambia, Guinea, Mauritania, Morocco, Niger, Nigeria and Senegal. Apart from nationals of these countries, holders of a Seaman Book travelling on duty with an embarkation order (issued to nationals of France only) can stay for a month. Please note that there is no transit accommodation available in the airport, therefore it makes good sense to get a transit visa.

If you are looking towards extending your stay in Mali, apply for an extension at the immigration office in Bamako.
