Namibia Tourist Entertainment Guide

By news desk on August 24,2007

The restaurants, cafes and bars in Namibia are well equipped to satisfy all kinds of taste buds from the adventurous to the parochial. Germany’s long-term dominance is reflected in the restaurants and beer bars that serve continental and German cuisines. A medley of native African cuisines including the Namibian is also available at the innumerable grills, cafes and in house restaurants in clubs and hotels. International fast food chains, familiar names serving familiar food dot the urban landscape catering to the locals and to those visitors who want to stick with the tried and tested.

South African wines, beers and lagers and other alcoholic drinks are easily available at licensed bars, pubs and restaurants carrying the ‘YYY” and ‘YY’ signs.

Namibia doesn’t really have a scene for an active nightlife even though nightclubs open and shut down with uncanny regularity in Windhoek. For most Namibians, an evening out.
