Kingston Shopping Guide

By news desk on June 25,2007

You’ll probably want to pick up some reggae music that you would have heard blaring on the streets. Downtown Kingston has the best range of CDs and tapes though other towns also have adequate outlets. It’s possible to buy ‘tailor made’ compilations.

Kingston is also the best place to buy any local crafts. The craft markets here are the cheapest and have the best range. A browse through the government run souvenir shops that are located in most cities is recommended. Though more expensive than the street vendors, you’ll be sure about the quality. You’ll find a number of duty free shops in the main malls.
Some shops are open only during the first half on Wednesdays.
