Major Tourist Attractions Around Jamaica

By news desk on June 25,2007

image

The island of Jamaica floats peacefully in the warm blue waters of the Caribbean. Its idyllic beaches and tropical beauty attract numerous visitors every year.

Heaving urban centres, crowded and ‘hip’ seaside towns and tiny, charming coastal villages – this is the island called Jamaica.

A natural harbour, Kingston, is the commercial centre of the island. It’s characterised by an air of urbanity mixed with the Caribbean charm: blaring horns, clouds of fumes, smiling locals and loud reggae music. The Blue Mountains that form a glorious background to the city are best explored if you stay at the Capital.

The stretch of soft white sand washed over by curling turquoise blue waters called Montego Bay is the tourism hub of the island. If it’s beaches you’re after, this is the place for it!
