Snorkelling ranks top of the list. The waters around Montego Bay have been designated as the Montego Marine Park and this is one of the best spots on the island to admire the marine life either on a glass bottom or by snorkelling. The waters around Negril also support an amazing variety of marine life. Coral, sponges, sea turtles, octopus, starfish seek refuge in these waters. The Sandy Cays off Alligator Pond on Jamaica’s southern coastline are an excellent spot to dive in and admire the colourful marine life.

If you’re not satisfied with splashing around in shallow waters, opt for one of the dive tours. Most dive tour operators are on the northern coast of Jamaica. (Remember to check whether they are licensed by the Jamaican Tourism Authority or not.)

The Jamaican waters are home to white marlins, wahoos, tunas and dolphins that can pose a challenge to those interested in Deep Sea fishing. There are charter boats that craggy hills, treasure beach is the perfect get – a way.
