Valle De Angeles
If there’s a heaven, it must look like this. Tucked away in the mountains, Valle De Angeles is a quaint little village, far, far away from everything. Try to avoid being here over a weekend as the whole of Tegus descends here trying to get away from the city! Besides the attraction of its seclusion, the local handicrafts are very beautiful and are sold at reasonable prices.
There is not much of a choice in terms of accommodations and whatever there is, is on the higher end of the spectrum. The budget traveller will have a tough time finding a place to stay in. Step into one of the several restaurants that line the streets to taste authentic garifuna cuisine or sample some seafood.
You can change your money in Valle De Angeles but most shops accept major credit cards. There is a post office as well as Internet café.
The 30 km highway connecting Valle De Angeles and Tegus is in good condition. Buses run between the two destinations. One can also drive here from the city of Tegus.
