If you’re from the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, the U.K. and most of western and Scandinavian Europe – you won’t need a visa here –a tourist card valid for 90 days is given free of charge to visitors from these countries onboard the airline that brings you into the country. Get your passport and tourist card stamped when you enter the country. Still some time back visitors arriving from nearby countries needed a visa but this is now being changed. To play it safe just gets a Venezuelan visa in your country of residence. Consulates in most Western countries including the US, UK and Australia issue multiple entry visas (for US$30 to US$40) valid for a year from the date of issue. Visa extensions are handled by the DIEX (Caracas office)
