Shanghai Business And Economy Guide

Today Shanghai has ‘Special Economic Zone ’status, and is at the forefront of China’s drive towards modernisation and economic prosperity. Shanghai is the largest commercial and industrial city in China with over 10,000 business enterprises; it maintains trade relations with over 100 countries.

 The city boasts of the most skilled work force in the entire country and prides itself on its business environment. Recently rejuvenated as an industrial and business centre, Shanghai gets special concessions from the Communist Government, in that, it is now home to a thriving indigenous entrepreneur class; has many of China’s new millionaires and openly enjoys a capitalist economy. Foreign banks, multinational corporations, consumer durables industries and a large expat community symbolise the new Shanghai.
