Best Time To Visit Japan

By news desk on October 23,2007

image

Japan’s climate tends to be miserably grey and cold during the winters (even though there may not be loads of snow) and hot and muggy in the summer, which is also the main season for rain. The best times to visit the country are therefore during the spring (March and April) and the autumn (September and October). These are the seasons when the weather’s pleasant and the land is at its most beautiful.

If possible try not to visit Japan during the holidays, when nearly all Japanese go on vacation, and most accommodation as well as travel facilities are stretched to capacity. The periods to avoid are around New Year, in mid-August, and for a week or two after April 29: these are popular Japanese festivals when a large chunk of the population travels home.
