Daegu is Korea’s third largest city, after Seoul and Busan. In spite of its size, it still has a laidback, rural ambience and an attractive, pollution free atmosphere. The city is surrounded by farms that produce apples in large quantities.
Daegu is prominent for its textile business and also for the metal and machinery industry, being a major manufacturing centre for Korea. Daegu is an enjoyable city for visitors and holidaymakers, with plenty of attractions, sights to see, cultural events, historical hotspots and recreational parks. Setting the fashion trends of Korea is Dongseongno, the Fashion Street of Daegu where youngsters buzz around the shopping malls, theatres, restaurants and cafés. One of the more exciting amusement centres is the Bomun Resort, a thrilling recreational complex with rides, bowling alleys, golf greens, swimming pool and a pretty lakeside promenade.
