Some typical Polish dishes are pierogi or stuffed dumplings, bigos (saukerkraut and meat), as well as the catch from the shores, like herring, trout or carp. Pork and mushrooms aren’t very far behind in popularity, as are a series of sumptuous soups like cabbage or beetroot.
