image

Krakow’s climate is continental, with mild summers and cold winters. Average temperatures in January are 4ºC- although the temperature often falls to below freezing point- while average summer temperatures in July can go up to about 27ºC. The bulk of the city’s precipitation occurs during summer; winters are relatively dry. The average annual rainfall is about 558 mm.

As in much of Poland, in Krakow too the weather is notoriously unpredictable; even at the height of summer, winds and rainfall can bring temperatures down to below 17ºC.
