Warsaw Shopping Guide

By news desk on January 16,2008

image

Indulge yourself with the charming trinkets, unique amber jewelry, fine leather goods and general bric a brac displayed and sold at Warsaw’s many shopping districts like Nowy Swiat, Krakowskie  and ulica Chmielna. Look for exquisite Polish wood carvings. Antique lovers should go to Desa and find some priceless post war pieces to take back home. Exporting pieces that are pre-1945, however, is not legal.

A unique shopping experience of Warsaw are the bazaars run by Russians and Ukranians at what once used to be Dziesieciolecia Stadium, Warsaw’s largest sports centre. Today is ranked as one of Poland’s largest sources of export revenue.
