Bucharest, or Bucuresti, spreads out on either side of the River Dimbovita. Situated in the southeastern part of the country, Romania’s first city that has over 2 million people, is one of wide tree-lined boulevards, many parks, buildings – some grand, some grey, and behemoth hotels, castles and government offices.
