Bucharest Hotel Entertainment Guide

By news desk on January 17,2008

Bucharest has been experiencing a mushrooming of new and upscale restaurants that give as much attention to decoration and atmosphere as they do to the food and the value you’re getting for your money. All the same, be sure not to get ripped off at one of these places – look for things on the bill that you didn’t order or which are unbelievably expensive.

You can also choose from a wide of eateries such as food kiosks, cafes and grills. The city has many fast food chains as well for quick and cheap eating out.

For a charming evening out, buy yourself a ticket to Bucharest’s main concert hall and cultural centre - the Bucharest Athenaeum, - and enjoy the sounds of the Romanian Philharmonic. Some good quality opera can definitely be hoped for at the Opera Romano, as can some entertaining drama at the Theatre Nationale.

With tourism becoming increasingly important, Bucharest’s nightspots are growing steadily in number. If you want a typical Romanian night on the town, head out to Lipscani District where students and young people throng for a good time. You can catch some good foreign cinema at the Cinema Patria.

The options for excitement are far from limited, and the choice is yours.
