Best Time To Visit Slovakia

Slovakia’s weather is at its best during the months of May, June and September (the rest of the year is too cold for much enjoyment, and July and August can get pretty warm). The other reason why July and August are best avoided is because that’s the time when most Slovaks take their annual vacation; accommodation and transport facilities tend to get pretty choked. Remember, though, that May to September are peak season and everything’s consequently more expensive. April and October are cheaper, but you have to be prepared for some pretty chilly weather, and some of the major tourist attractions- like castles and museums- might be closed between October and April.
