Ways To Reach Ankara

By news desk on January 24,2008

How do I get there?

By Air
The national airline has nonstop flights to Esenboga Airport (Ankara) from  most cities in Turkey. International routes require a connection in Istanbul.

By Road
Ankara has a huge otogar (bus terminus) from where coaches from distant towns arrive day and night - Istanbul, Antalya, Bodrum, Erzurum, Izmir and Urgup (Cappadocia). Ankara is the centre of Turkey’s extensive and excellent coach network and it is possible to travel to most Turkish cities.

By Train
Turkish trains offer a leisurely mode of travel. Several trains daily connect Ankara with Istanbul, and others to Izmir, Erzincan, Erzurum, and Kars, on alternate days to Diyarbakir, and Tatvan.
