Getting Around Zagreb

By news desk on October 12,2007

Zagreb has a number of good car rental companies, and hiring a car- with or without a driver- is one of the most convenient ways of making your way around the city. Alternatively, you could use public transport- Zagreb’s buses and trams are quite efficient, and the city has a good taxi service as well. Keep one thing in mind, though: almost no taxi drivers speak English, and road signs are rarely in English; so investing in a detailed map in English is a good idea.

If you were going sightseeing within Zagreb, the wise thing to do would be to move around on foot. Most of the city’s best known and most popular tourist attractions are in close proximity to each other, and you’ll get to see the city at closer quarters if you’re on your own two feet.
