Zagreb Hotel Accommodation Guide

By news desk on January 18,2008

image
Zagreb has some of the oldest and most elegant hotels in Croatia, and if you have deep enough pockets, you can even stay in the luxurious Esplanade Hotel, listed among the world’s leading hotels. If you’re on a budget, you could have some trouble finding suitable accommodation- Zagreb is very low on budget hotels. There are relatively few of them around, and alternate accommodation is scarce. Private rooms, which are common in many of the other East European cities, are virtually unavailable, and hostels are not just few and far between, but also usually booked full. The city has a campsite, but it’s 10 km out of town, on the Ljubljana highway, and with no public transport connecting it to Zagreb. Your best option, if you’re on a limited budget, is to try and find an economy hotel, or to book your rooms at a hostel- well in advance.
