By news desk on October 17,2007

Passports are required of all visitors to Serbia and Montenegro, the former Yugoslavia, and most nationalities will need to have a visa as well. Citizens of some South American and African countries do not require visas for stays of up to 90 days, and nationals of  Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria can stay for 30 days without a visa. Entry is restricted for nationals of Malaysia and Taiwan, and for people holding passports issued by the former state of Yugoslavia in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia and Slovenia (all of which have now seceded).

Visas for Serbia and Montenegro can be obtained at embassies abroad; no visas are issued at the country’s borders.

All visitors who are not staying at a hotel in the country are required to register at the nearest police station within 3 days of arrival.

Note: Please check with the nearest Yugoslav consulate for visa details applicable to your country.
