Israel has been for a long time associated with brilliant musicians and composers. In the 1930s, Jewish musicians and some of Europe’s best composers, performers and teachers fled to Palestine to escape Nazism. The Israel Philharmonic Orchestra is one of the best in the world. Yitzhak Periman is one of the most famous violinists of Israel.Klezmer is a traditional Yiddish dance and music of the Jewish communities of Eastern and Central Europe. (Remember Fiddler on the Roof?)

Literature- Though the Israeli author SY Agnon was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1960s, the Israeli author most translated is Amos Oz. David Grossman, and AB Yehoshua are the other very famous authors.
