Love4Adventure's Downntown Vancouver Experience

By North America Guide on March 12,2010

image

A visit to the city that's set to host the 2010 Olympics wouldn't be complete without seeing its vibrant multicultural heritage. The tour begins with an exploration of Gastown, visiting the famous Steam Clock as well as the statue of Gassy Jack, a colorful character in Vancouver's history. From there move down towards the waterfront, where the guide will tell you all about the history of Vancouver as a port and how it contributed to the city's development. As you go through the downtown area you will see some of Vancouver's most famous buildings, including the Marine Building, the Christ Church Cathedral, and the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver. Your local tour guide will also show you some of the city's cultural highlights such as the Vancouver Art Gallery, the Vancouver Public Library, Chinatown's Millennium Gate, and the Dr. Sun Yat Sen Chinese Garden.
