Denmark Tourist Health And Safety Guide

By news desk on September 11,2007

Denmark is a very safe country to travel in, both from the point of view of health and of crime. There is little crime against foreigners, and about the only risk you would normally face is that of petty theft- a consequence of flashing money about or being careless. This too is likely to happen only in large cities like Copenhagen; make sure that all your valuables are locked, and try to steer clear of deserted and lonely places.

Food and drink are generally hygienic in Denmark; tap water too is safe to drink. However, just in case you’re on medication, take along the original prescription and sufficient stocks of medicine to last you through the trip. Fortunately, most pharmacies in Denmark are well-stocked, medical services are generally efficient, and all doctors speak English.
