Recommended Tourist Activities In Denmark

By news desk on September 11,2007

Denmark, with its great open spaces (well, maybe not as great as all that- it’s a small country- but picturesque!), is made for outdoor activities. Cycling, of course, is probably the most popular with hordes of tourists who make it their way of getting around the country. Cycling happens to be one of the best ways of enjoying the beauty of the flat countryside and the lakes of Jutland; what makes it even more attractive is the fact that there are dozens of well-established cycle routes crisscrossing the country. If you’re not keen on cycling, try walking- trekking too is a great way to see Denmark at its best.

All along the coasts of Denmark, there’s lots of scope for water sports- swimming, windsurfing and yachting in particular. You may bring your own equipment along, but most towns and cities have facilities for hiring out surf boards, boats and the like.
