Estonia IS the bogs – long stretches of peat bogs invite you to go bog walking and canoeing. Popular bogging spots are Soomaa National Park in the southwest, and the Endla Nature Reserve in the north.
Winter sports are excellent in Estonia. Traverse the snow on skis or snowboard at the Kuutsemäe and Väike-Munamäe Sports Centres. They are both located close to Otepää in south-eastern Estonia. If you want to add some horsepower to your snow travel you can take snow-bike expeditions from Võru.
If you want to go sailing, rowing or diving, the Käsmu Sea Museum in Lahemaa National Park on the central northern coast has summer camps. If you are an old hat at canoeing and want to make your own Haabja you must enrol for the traditional one-log canoe-building camp
Bird watchers come to Estonia as avidly as they travel to the Faroe Islands. Their chief halt is the Matsalu Nature Reserve. The Käina Bay Bird Reserve on the southeastern coast Hiiumaa is another big favourite with both birds and bird lovers.
