You may import the following into Iceland without incurring customs duties: 200 cigarettes or 250 grams of tobacco, 1 litre of spirits or 1 litre of wine of alcoholic strength less than 21% or 12 bottles of beer or two of these items in combination (e.g. 6 bottles of beer and ½ litre of wine). Cigarettes and tobacco may be imported only if the bearer is above 16 years old, and alcohol only by those above 20. The import and export of the Icelandic Krona is limited to Ikr 8000. There are no limitations on the import of foreign currency but the export of foreign currency must not exceed the amount that was imported in the first place.

Fishing equipment must be disinfected and certified so by an authorised veterinary. The import of narcotics, firearms and ammunition, milk products, eggs and uncooked meats is prohibited.
