Getting Around Belfast: Transport Guide

By news desk on September 13,2007

Probably the easiest and most convenient way of moving around Belfast is by hiring a car. The city has a number of large and small car rental companies from where you can rent a car if you have the requisite paperwork in order. An International Driver’s License and some form of a security deposit are mandatory. Alternatively, you can use taxis - there are a good number of taxi ranks throughout the city, but you should be aware that taxi fares are a minimum of £2.

If you’re looking to save money, the best thing to do is to travel by bus. Belfast has a very good bus network, which covers virtually every square inch of the city, and is serviced by vehicles that are fast and convenient. Get a daily or weekly pass if you’re going to be travelling around for a while.
