Latvia Travel Document Guide

By news desk on September 14,2007

Citizens of nearly all European countries can enter Latvia without a visa; in addition, nationals of some other countries, including USA, Australasia, Israel, South Korea, Japan, and South Africa, can stay in Latvia for up to 30 days at a time (not exceeding 90 days in a year) without a visa. All other nationalities require a visa to enter Latvia.

Visas for Latvia can be obtained from Latvian diplomatic missions abroad; single entry visas for stays not above 10 days may be obtained at the International Airport at Riga. The Citizenship and Immigration Department, which has its head office in Riga and branch offices in around five other cities, is the place to go to get your visa renewed once you’re in Latvia.
