Norway Travel Document Guide

By news desk on September 14,2007

Nationals of most countries in West Europe and the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, need only a valid passport to enter Norway for trips of less than three months. If you’re going to be staying in the country for more than three months, you’ll need to get a visa issued from a Norwegian embassy. Nationals of other countries- in Asia, South America, Africa and East Europe- need visas, which can be obtained from Norwegian diplomatic missions abroad. Effective March 25, 2001, Norway has become a member of the Schengen states, meaning that a Schengen visa will gain you entry into the country, except for Svalbard, without the bother of repeated document scans.
