Getting Around Edinburgh: Transport Guide

By news desk on September 18,2007

By foot

Edinburgh is just the kind of city you want to explore by foot. Let the winding alleys tire with their little thoroughfares tire you out, and you will feel like a satisfied explorer at the end of the day. ….

But if you want to save your limbs the trouble, use any one of these transport options…

By bus

Edinburgh’s red and white bus service is operated by a private company called Lothian Regional Transport. A great value buy is the Day Saver Ticket , which allows you infinite rides for just 2.40 pounds.

By car

Driving in the city is not necessarily a pleasure, but is certainly possible. Remember that parking is expensive and illegal parking will lead to immediate towing.

By Taxi

Taxis can be found aplenty around the downtown area, especially around Prince’s Street and St. David Street.
