Armenia Annual Event Guide

Voski Ashun is just such a festival. Held in October it’s permanent location is Hrazdan. Yerevan celebrates the approaching winter with the cultural season and harvesting the fields. The Armenian Orthodox Church celebrates Christmas on the 6th of January. The New Year is welcomed with great pomp – it is the biggest holiday of the year and there are heavy exchanges of gifts and in a unique tradition, the house is open to walk-in guests.
