By news desk on November 20,2007

image

If you arrive by air, you can rent a car at Dhaka airport. An International Driving License is an absolute must. Traffic drives on the left and congestion is common on Dhaka roads. Road signs are not in English. Apart from this, there is no major hassle in driving around Dhaka city.

For short distances, you could use the rickshaw, a hand drawn cart or the mechanized version. There are plenty of auto rickshaws, or three wheel taxis to transport you around Dhaka. Taxis are available in plenty, but it is suggested you negotiate the rates before you start off. Intra city buses do not have signs in English.
