Major Attractions In Ranchi

Ranchi  has plenty of sights within reach that will delight the nature-loving and spiritual tourist. There are five spectacular waterfalls that could be part of your itinerary: Dassam Falls, Hundru Falls, Jonha Falls and Hirni Falls that are all within a distance of 40km from the city. Ranchi Hill is another popular destination with a health and holiday resort. The Shiva Temple at the top of the Hill is a pilgrimage centre, especially during "Shravanmas" (the rainy season). The Temple of Lord Jagannath built in 1691, 10km from Ranchi, is also a favourite site of pilgrim visits.
