It presents exclusive sarees made of pure natural silk, pure gold zari, crepe-de-chine and georgette. When you think of royally elegant silk, you think of Mysore silk. Understanding the importance of silk in Indian wardrobes, the State Government set up the Karnataka Silk Industries Corporation (KSIC) to meet the people's desire of possessing pure silk. It guarantees its silks / semi-silk products for fifty years.

KSIC was established in the year 1980 as a government of Karnataka enterprise, to develop silk industries in Karnataka. In a span of twenty years it has achieved a benchmark in pure silks.

They excel in designing Mysore silk sarees, which are famous for their heavy zari border and pallu. Every saree is given its embroidered code number to protect its identity. They have hundreds of varieties of colors and thousands of designs to meet the tastes of national and international buyers.

Raw silks are manufactured at their four centres, Mysore, T.Narasipura, Kanakapura & Channapatna. They market their products through inter-state government organisations, institutional buyers and authorised dealers.

Some of the institutional buyers are Air India, Indian Airlines, ITDC group of hotels, Taj hotels, etc.

If your heart is beating for pure silk, visit one of the KSIC centres to witness with your own eye the catchy designs and colors.
