Getting Around Nainital

You can take your car onto the Mall for a toll charge of Rs 25, except during the peak tourist season from May till June. For travel along the Mall cycle rickshaws and dandies (local palanquin) are available. Private taxis can be hired or you can rent a chauffeur driven car; self-driven cars are not available for hire. Ponies can be hired for short distance trips to Snow View, Naina Peak or other sites in the vicinity. The ropeway from Mallital takes visitors to Snow View for a small fee.
