Most nationals belonging to countries of Asia, Africa and the Americas need a valid visa to enter Brunei. However, citizens holding American passports can stay in Brunei for 90 days without a visa. Malaysian, Singaporean or British nationals can stay up to 30 days without a visa. Nationals of about 14 other countries (mostly in the EU) can stay up to two weeks without a visa. Before setting off for Brunei, it’s best to check whether you need to have a visa or not; visas can be obtained at Brunei’s diplomatic missions abroad.
