Kuala Lumpur Travel Guide
Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia is a bustling, vibrant city and completely cosmopolitan. Famous for its twin towers – the world’s tallest; its glass-steel-and-concrete fronts of modern office buildings; its noisy, crowded markets bursting with fresh fruit, vegetable and seafood; its discotheques, hotels and nightclubs alongside mosques, temples and churches, Kuala Lumpur presents an interesting proposition for the traveller. In Kuala Lumpur the old exists in tandem with the new and skyscrapers standing tall besides old temples seems to be the order of the day rather than seeming out of place and incongruous. Kuala Lumpur has its rich businessmen, its karaoke-loving teenagers, its craftsmen and its street vendors. The city is home to a very mixed crowd of Malays, Chinese and Indians, all contributing towards making this one of the busiest, most colourful and fascinating cities in South East Asia.
