Getting Around Kuala Lumpur: Transport Guide

By news desk on November 01,2007

Catch a public or private bus, a taxi or even a limo from the KLIA to the city centre. You can easily get around Kuala Lumpur by rented car- you can rent a car before arrival or if you haven’t done that then at the airport itself. It’s quick, convenient and flexible. You will need a current driving license and travel insurance. Other options include the city’s bus service-shuttle, or mini bus service. The bus network is fairly efficient, and the buses travel between various zones, details of which can be got from the larger bus stations, the main bus station is Pudu Raya. Kuala Lumpur has launched a bus service to ferry tourists and visitors around the city’s major landmarks, covering three different routes at thirty-minute intervals. The service operates from 7 in the morning to midnight, and is quick, convenient and inexpensive way to see the city. Of course, probably the most enjoyable way is to go around on foot- that’s how you actually see Kuala Lumpur!
