Chiang Mai: Climatic Overview

Compared to the rest of Thailand, it is much cooler up in the hills, so if you’re planning to visit Chiang Mai, take along a light sweater or jacket, as it can get pretty chilly even during the summer, especially in the evening. The weather is at its coldest in the winter months from November to February but clouds can cast a cool shadow over the weather even in the summer months.
