Getting Around Phuket: Transport Guide

Within the island of Phuket, one of the easiest ways to get around is to hire a car or a jeep or motorbike, if you’re planning to go into the `rough’. There are shops in Phuket town, which act as car rental services, or you could enquire with your travel agent. Many hotels and resorts operate private shuttle bus services into Phuket town, and you can also take a taxi to move around the island. If you’re interested in going to some of the nearby islands, you can usually find a boat headed your way- most boats depart from Port of Phuket at Makham Bay as do chartered boats and yachts.
