Entertainment Options In Hanoi

Hanoi along with Ho Chi Minh City is Vietnam’s most cosmopolitan city. It’s a place where you find a lot of international cuisines- a number of restaurants serving everything from French to American, Chinese, Japanese and Thai food. There are, of course, a very large number of smaller food stalls and outlets where you get really nice Vietnamese food at reasonable prices.Other than Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi is the only other place in Vietnam that has some form of night life- there are a number of bars, nightclubs and restaurants scattered around the town, where you can depend upon fairly good entertainment. However, better than western style recreation is Vietnam’s native entertainment- local dances, music and theatre performances, which are held in cultural venues and at some hotels too. To find out what’s happening in town, keep an eye on the daily newspapers- they usually carry listings of what’s on where and when.
