Ho Chi Minh City is a good place to go shopping- being the commercial and tourism capital of Vietnam. It is the place handicrafts and other products from all over the country come. There are lots of markets (old and new), department stores, shops, stalls and stands where you can buy almost anything that is made in Vietnam. Look out for local crafts like basketry, metalwork, and textiles. Bargaining is common (and even expected of you), but don’t get carried away- loud and boisterous displays of temper are considered extremely rude
