Brasília was a wonderful place with many attractions beyond the central sights as: Palácio da Alvorada, Templo da Boa Vontade or Vale do Amanhecer.

The Palácio da Alvorada
Designed by Oscar Niemeyer, was the first building to be inaugurated in Brasília, in 1958 (two years before the official inauguration of the city). The name means "Palace of the Dawn", and was given by Juscelino Kubitscheck himself, who used to say that "Brasília is a new dawn in the History of Brazil".

The palace became symbol of the modern moviment of Brazilian architecture, of cultural and technical progress of the country. Its columns became symbol of the city, and are present in the flag and coat of arms of the capital of the Republic.

Niemeyer used a combination of marble, glass and water. The symmetry of the marble columns combines with the reflex in the glass facade and in the water mirror. The columns touch the ground in one vortex, passing an impression of lightness.

The Alvorada Palace is located about 8 km from the Planalto Palace, where the President works. The Alvorada is located by the banks of Lake Paranoá

Templo da Boa Vontade (Temple of Good Will)
The Temple of Good Will is the greatest symbol of Universal Love, of the exaltation of Life and of Unrestricted Ecumenism, and whose doors have never closed since its inauguration, remaining open 24 hours a day. It is not surprising that this place is the most visited of the Brazilian capital, receiving over a million pilgrims per year, according to official data of the Tourism Office of the Federal District (Setur). Ever increasingly, visiting it at 915 South, Lots 75/76, has become an unavoidable commitment for whoever passes through the city.

Everything in the Temple of Good Will has its reason for being, united to the unrestricted ecumenical proposal implicit in it. Each aspect of the work was meticulously studied, transforming it into a meeting point of Superior Spirituality, of Culture, of Art, of Ecology and of Scientific and Spiritual Medicine — which are harmoniously arranged to inspire the most noble feelings. The measures and proportions of the monument are linked to the number of perfection, 7, and also to the number 1. It is in fact a pyramid with seven sides, 21 meters high and 28 meters in diameter. A pure crystal rests at its pinnacle. The darkened base of the Temple creates the impression that it floats on the lawn, as if it were a landed space ship.

Vale do Amanhecer (Valley of Dawning)
Was founded by a medium (person with paranormal sensitivity) called Tia Neiva, and is located in the city of Planaltina, about 42 km from Brasilia. This is considered the most impressive case of religious syncretism in Brazil. The valley integrates beliefs and entities of several religions, such as Afro-Brazilian, indian, egyptian, gypsy, incas, aztecas, maias and even extra-terrestrial. The scenery of the valley, with symbols and images mixed with the typical costumes of the mediums make it an unforgetable place.
