The best time of the year to visit Ulaanbaaatar is the summer, between May and October, when it’s warm and you can really enjoy the country, see it at its best and not spend all your time trying to keep warm. If you’re planning a visit to the Gobi desert, the best time to go is June or September when the desert isn’t as hot as it can get. The wet spell falls between July and August and, believe us, it can get pretty wet!
