Nationals of most nations in West Europe and the EEC are not required to have a visa to enter Denmark. In addition to these, citizens of a number of countries in South America, South East Asia and Africa also do not require visas for a stay up to 3 months. It’s best to check at the Danish diplomatic mission closest to home, to find out whether you need a visa or not. Effective March 25, 2001, Denmark has joined the Schengen states. A Schengen visa now ensures you entry into Denmark (apart from all the other Schengen member countries) without the bother of repeated document clearances. In any case, a valid passport will be needed.
